Snake Eater - Part 2
This is the conclusion to the episode we did with my surrogate brother, Snake. If you haven't listened to Episode 10, start there.
We talked mandatory Army "fun," mortars, gun-nerd stuff, tiger stripes and sewing machines, "How many combat drops?", a few Baghdad stories, differences in lavatory facilities among developed countries and breaking international ice (everybody poops!), leadership and command ineptitude, and a lot more!

Episode 10 - Snake Eater - Part 1
This week I sat down with guest-host Shannon and our guest, "Snake." Snake and I have been friends since we were teenagers, and he is more like a brother to me than anything else. He's also a former law-enforcement officer, and an active operational member of the United States Army Special Forces community.
We sat down and talked about preparing for the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) course, Airborne School, jumping out of airplanes, "sky sharking," Small Unit Tactics, killing Baghdad rats, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE) training, learning a new language, and defying the uniform standard.
This is Part 1 of a two-part episode with Snake, so stay tuned for Part 2 in the next week or so. I will no longer be doing weekly releases, as my schedule doesn't support the short turnaround. Don't worry, I'm not going to make you wait as long as Dan Carlin, but the episodes won't be on a weekly clock any more. Episode 5 - Unfinished Business
This week I doored up with Officer Tony. Tony is a former detective, motor cop, and a fellow SWAT guy. We talked 2020 versus Law Enforcement, "rolling coal," motor school, foot pursuits, policing the Carnival Crowd and frustrations with today's youth, misplacing important equipment, responding to mental health crisis calls, flashlight technology, happiness in a Member's Only jacket, the reemerging popularity of 80's toys, and everything in between. Episode 4 - The Rules of The Game
